The First Switch 2 Mod Is Here: Meet Switch Buttons

The Nintendo Switch 2 hasn’t even hit shelves yet — but the first mod is already in the works.

Switch Buttons is the first aftermarket hardware mod for the upcoming Switch 2, made by the same folks behind DeckButtons.com, the go-to source for premium Steam Deck upgrades. If you’ve ever swapped your stock buttons for something that actually feels good to press, you already know why this matters.

We’re bringing that same energy to Nintendo’s next-gen handheld.

Why Switch Buttons?

The original Switch had a lot going for it — but the stock buttons weren’t exactly legendary. And we’re betting the Switch 2 will leave some of that fine-tuning on the table again. That’s where we come in.

Just like we did with DeckButtons, we’re not just customizing for looks — we’re improving function. Think better texture, more satisfying feedback, and thoughtful refinements that actually improve how the system feels to use.

Built by Modders, Not Just Manufacturers

This isn’t some mass-produced shell swap. Switch Buttons is being developed by the same small, obsessive crew that made the Steam Deck’s buttons better — improving diagonal accuracy on the D-pad, making the Steam and Quick Access buttons easier to find without looking, and dialing in textures that feel premium in the hand.

We design, prototype, and test every piece ourselves. No fluff. No filler. Just honest upgrades made by people who actually use this stuff.
